Sunday School ( Sundays at 9:45 am )

    Nursery (infant to 3 years).
    Primary (4 to 11 years).
    Jr/Sr High (Junior and Senior High School).
    Young Adults (20’s to 50’s).
        A discussion-oriented small group currently studying the Book of Genesis .
    Co-Workers (30’s to 90’s).
        A teacher-led small group using Cokesbury’s Adult Bible Study series.

Fellowship Meal ( Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm )

We gather each Wednesday to fellowship around a common covered-dish dinner. Come and enjoy the best our good cooks have to offer as you experience family time around the table.

Choir practices Sundays at 10:30am just before worship.

Our choir is informal and inspires us with an Introit and an Anthem during our 10:45am Worship Service. We invite all who love to sing to be a part of our choir.

Ward Street Mission

Every fourth Thursday a group from Sandy Ridge UMC provides and serves the Community Meal at Ward Street United Methodist Mission Church in High Point. This Community Meal helps feed the hungry and homeless people in High Point. The lives of many in our congregation have been touched by this ministry of Outreach in our local community.

Worship ( Sundays at 11:00 am )

Each Sunday in worship we seek to praise the awesome God we serve. Our worship style is somewhat informal with a diverse mixture of Praise & Worship songs, time-tested Traditional hymns as well as spiritually-oriented Popular music. As we are gathered together we open ourselves to God’s holy presence through inspiration, singing, praying, reading and proclaiming God’s Holy Word. God invites us all to come as we are but we fully expect God will transform our lives.

We are committed to being a Safe Sanctuary for all the children we serve. A nursery is available for the youngest children during worship. After a short Children’s Sermon, early in our worship service, the younger children are invited to leave the sanctuary for Children’s Church .

Harvest Camp

Members of our congregation regularly serve alongside His Laboring Few of High Point in their 90-day substance addiction recovery program known as Harvest Camp. We seek to support, encourage and help meet the spiritual needs of those who are in recovery . His Laboring Few website

Kids Club ( Wednesdays from 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm )

Each Wednesday (September - May) after the fellowship meal, the children enjoy their special time with each other learning about God. They have Bible lessons, crafts, games and Christian fellowship.

Bible Study ( Wednesdays from 6:45 pm to 8:00 pm )

We gather each Wednesday for a time to grow in our faith. We may do a Bible Study or Christian based lessons using workbooks. Come join us as we all learn together!
